The console receives no video output, 3 of the 4 lights surrounding the power button will flash red.

One red light flashes at the power button. On screen you will see text display with an E - error message, most commonly E74 and E68-69

If your console powers on, but it will not read the disc you have inserted, or the drive does not close correctly then you will require either a new laser or drive unit.

The console will not power on, there will be no lights on the front display.

The Xbox will power on as normal but a black screen will appear, on this screen the writing will describe the error code E68.
