Generally this fault is the result of lose solder joints under the GPU, or in some cases the CPU or Southbridge chip. The fault can also be attributed to a malfunctioning component on the main board; although that is rare. We use a BGA Microscope to look under your GPU/CPU or Southbridge chip to determine the cause of the fault, if the problem is lose solder balls, then we use cutting edge technology to reflow the board. We fully test your console to make sure the repair has worked.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- One flashing red light on the console and in most cases an error message will be displayed telling you it's an E - xx error.
- Most commonly you will get a E-74 error message however the error messages range for from E - 64 to E - 80
- You may see distortion in the graphic, streaks may appear to run down the screen.
