This fault is usually caused by putting Nintendo game cartridges in the slot the wrong way round causing the pins to bend out of their original position. As slight as the bend on even one of the DSi pins may seem, it can cause the console not to read Nintendo cartridges. Inserting any other objects in cartridge slot may cause the same problem.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- The DSi console does not read games, when a game is inserted to the cartridge slot it does not load when the DSi is switched on.
- It may not register on the main Nintendo dashboard when the DSi is switched on.
- There may be a foreign object stuck within the SLOT-1.
