Power faults with the Nintendo DS Lite are generally caused by the mainboard. This is a common fault and is usually caused by circuitry damage on the DS lite board. If booking this repair it is advised that you include as much information for our engineers as possible, if the console is experiencing charging issues please include the charger. Repairs to the main board are often complicated and will sometimes require replacing the whole DS lite mainboard for a working, official Nintendo one. If the mainboard needs to be replaced the price may increase to £49.99.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- When switching the DS Lite power button upwards, nothing happens.
- The light on the right shoulder button does not even flash green or red.
- You may get the consoles green LED to come on but nothing appears on screen.
- The power switch is slack, feeling as if it has snapped off.
- The orange charger LED may flash on and off or flicker when the charger is moved.
