Although the original DS is more robust than the newer models it still susceptible to cracks and cosmetic damage. Usually the cracks appear at the hinge joint and on occasion the consoles bottom screen will flash on and off very quickly. This is due to damage on the PCB ribbon that passes from the mainboard to the top screen, we will replace this within the price of the repair.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- Usually the middle hinge will have snapped or cracked, leaving the joint loose and unable to hold itself up.
- The DS hinge remains attached, however cracks or a bend can be seen on the hinge.
- This repair covers any other cracks that appear on your DS Lite console, cracks that may appear on the casing surrounding the top screen.
