Firmware problems on the PSP 3000 are not as straight forward to repair unlike the 1000 and 2000 version. Unfortunately the only method to repairing this fault at the moment is to replace the faulty mainboard, we always replace damaged parts with official Sony components.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- The green light comes on when the power switch is pressed, however nothing appears on the screen.
- No sound is heard, UMD disks will not attempt to load.
- Your PSP 3000 may appear completely dead other than the power indicator.
- Sometimes the green light will turn off after a minute or so.
