This is one of the most obvious fault on the DSi XL. Generally the right hinge will be cracked or even missing. The top half of the DSi XL will, in some cases, come loose from the right hand hinge. If the top screen remains blank or grainy it may also need replaced, in this case our engineers will contact you.
Book your console under this fault if you experience any or all of these symptoms:
- Either the right (most commonly) or left corner hinge of the DSi XL Lite has snapped away from the console.
- The DSi XL hinge remains attached, however cracks or a bend can be seen on the hinge.
- This repair covers any other cracks that appear on your DSi XL console, cracks that may appear on the casing surrounding the top screen.
- The top screen still functions correctly.
