The Console Doctor Repair Process

Step 1

Select the console you wish to be repaired from the left hand menu or from the links on the home page.

Once you have selected your console find the repair that matches the fault with your machine. To get more information on each fault, click the 'more info' link. If you cannot find a fault that matches yours, do not panic! We will still be able to fix your console. Please select 'Free estimate' which will appear at the bottom of every repair page.

Step 2

If you have had a repair with Console Doctor before, you can still use the details you provided originally to book a new repair. Use the form to login. Alternatively, if you are new to Console Doctor, click the link on the right hand side to register your personal details.

Step 3

You must print off your order sheet and include it with the console otherwise we can't identify the owner of the console when we receive it.

If you are sending a handheld console the form you will print out will have a freepost label attached, simply cut this out, stick on the front of your box and take to the post office. (remember to keep the receipt the post office will give you for your records)

If you have a PS3 / Xbox or Wii console we will collect these for free using YODEL, please call 0191-276 3048 - have your order ID ready and one of our Admin team will arrange a collection. The collection is between 9am-5pm, we unfortunately can't make any exceptions for this.

You can also book a collection via email:

collections@consoledoctor.co.uk

When emailing your request please include the following information:

  • Order ID
  • Name
  • Contact number
  • Address for collection
  • Weekday for collection
Step 4

When we receive your console and update your account your console is then added to the queue of machines to be repaired (remember we repair consoles on a first come first serve basis so at busy times such as Christmas please be patient), you will receive an automated email and an sms message.

Step 5

One of our highly skilled technicians will examine your console to determine the full extent of any damage and carry out any necessary repairs. If the console was sent to us for a free estimate, we find additional faults or the price changes for any reason the engineer will contact you prior to commencing repairs to seek your approval.

Step 6

You simply click the pay button in your account and can pay using all common credit/debit cards via SagePay, we can also take payment over the phone. Unfortunately we can no longer accept paper cheques.

We return your console to you by a tracked and insured next day service. All consoles are sent via YODEL.
