While booking your repair order you will be provided with two options to send your device off for a repair:

1. DPD Pickup Returns
2. DPD Swap It

Once we receive your device, one of our specialist engineers will begin working on the repair. After the repair is completed and your device has been thoroughly tested, we'll return the device back to you using DPD's 24 hour* home delivery service.

*24 hour delivery service is next working day and operates Monday to Friday.

DPD Pickup Returns is a new service from DPD, which allows customers to drop their return parcels directly at any one of over 6,000 DPD Pickup shops and get the very best returns experience. What's more, the service is fast and convenient to use.

Console Doctor will provide a pre-paid return label which will allow you to send your device to us for free. Simply package your item, attach the return label and drop the parcel at any of DPD's drop off points.

With DPD Returns, customers can track their parcel all the way back to Console Doctor with DPD notifications providing reassurance throughout the journey. Find your nearest DPD Pickup shop here by entering your post code.

DPD Swap It is a fast, secure and convenient home collection service that operates from Monday — Friday.

Once you have booked a Swap It collection, a driver will arrive at your property on the designated collection date with a box to collect your device. You will be given a one hour collection window on the collection date, but unfortunately you cannot specify a collection time.

Please do not package your device in advance, as the DPD driver will provide a box with ample protection.

We recommend that you choose whatever is most convenient for you. Please note that both services are 24 hour (48 hour from remote locations), so speed is not a factor.

Pickup Returns allows to send your device at your own convenience from any one of the drop off points in the UK. This option is perfect if you are unable to wait in for courier collections.

Swap It is great for customers who are not able to reach the Pickup Return drop off points, or customers who are able to wait in for courier collections.

We use DPD’s 24 hour* delivery service to return all devices. You will be emailed your tracking number when we have posted your device. All packages sent are insured giving both us and you the peace of mind. Once you have been provided with a tracking number you can track your consoles delivery progress here.

The couriers generally take 1-2 days each way, and our average repair times are between 1-5 working days. In total, the whole process will take on average between 5-10 working days from the date that you send your device to us to the date you receive it back to at your door fully repaired.

Console Doctor will provide text message and email updates for you when we receive your device, when the device is repaired, and finally when your device is dispatched back for you.

If you have not received any notifications from us within 5 working days of you sending your device, please contact us on 0191 580 1836 so that a member of our team can investigate the situation.

Similarly, if you have received a dispatch notification from us and then have not received your device within 5 working days, please contact us on 0191 580 1836 so that a member of our team can investigate the situation.

We advise you to send anything that you feel may be contributing to the fault with your device.

For example, if you have a games console that is having power problems or no video output problems then we advise you to send the console itself and the power cable/video output cable.

Similarly, if you have a games console that is not reading discs then we recommend that you include the disc that is causing the fault/error to occur.

If you are unsure what to send with your device then we advise that you send all accessories. Console Doctor will test all of the items that you include with your device.

If your device cannot be repaired then we will provide Domestic and General with a write off report so that they can replace your device for you in accordance with the terms of your policy.

Although every care will be taken to ensure that your device is fully repaired before it is dispatched back to you; we understand that in rare circumstances your device may still have issues after the repair. If this happens, it is imperative that you contact us as soon as possible on 0191 580 1836, or by emailing contact@consoledoctor.co.uk so that we can rectify this situation for you as quickly as possible.

If you receive your device back and it has any signs of physical damage that could have been caused in transit (for example damage to the package and corresponding damage to the device) we ask that you take photographs of the damage to both the package and the device and email them to contact@consoledoctor.co.uk.
